Delivered and Tipped, or Stacked by Hand
One truck, one driver, Monday to Saturday. Tell us where it should go when you email; the contact page lists the rest.
Where the Truck Goes
- Within 25 miles of the yardDuluth, Hermantown, Proctor, the North Shore to Knife Riverfree
- 25 to 50 milesCharged each way from the 25 mile mark$3 a mile

What the Truck Needs
A drive at least 10 feet wide, firm ground under it and 12 feet of clear height where the box tips. Low wires and branches are the usual trouble; tell us about them and we will tip short of them.
How Long It Takes
| Months | Wait | Note |
|---|---|---|
| September to November | About 10 days | Most of the year’s orders come in now. |
| December to March | 2 to 4 days | Saturday deliveries too, weather allowing. |
| April | Closed the last two weeks | Mud season. Order by the fourteenth. |
| May to August | Within the week | The easy months to fill a shed. |
Order in summer and the wood is already where you want it when the first cold night comes.
Stacking and Paying
- Tipped where you askOne tidy pile, as close as the truck can getfree
- Stacked, full cordWithin 60 feet of the truck, on your rack or pallets$65
- Stacked, half cord$40
We stack outside, in a garage or in an open shed. We don’t carry wood up stairs or into basements; it marks walls and it is how backs get hurt.
Pay on delivery by check or card, or by bank transfer ahead. Orders of 3 cords or more take a 25 percent deposit, refunded in full up to 48 hours before the delivery day.
Before the Truck Comes
Do I need to be home?
No, as long as we know where to tip or stack and the way is clear. We email the day before with a two hour window.
What should I clear?
Cars out of the drive, gates open, and anything you would not want a wheel on moved aside. In winter, a plowed drive.
How should I keep it?
Off the ground on pallets or a rack, with the top covered and the sides open to the wind. A tarp pulled down over the sides traps damp and undoes a year of drying.
Can you take away an old pile?
No. We only bring wood in. If an old pile is rotten at the bottom, burn the dry top and leave the rest to the garden.
